Fotofacial
is a non-invasive treatment that erases
skin damage without disruption of the skin's surfaces,
hence no "down time." Fotofacial is an intense pulsed
light treatment, not a laser. Treatments are generally administered
in a series of procedures, providing
excellent long-term results, minimal adverse effects,
and high satisfaction. |

What conditions can be
treated?
Redness
and Flushing
Rosacea
Small facial blood vessels
Irregular Pigmentation
Age Spots
Fine Wrinkles
What makes Fotofacial
different?
Fotofacial is
a revolutionary new treatment, which unlike laser therapy, chemical
peels, or dermabrasion, has no "down time." Following
a treatment patients can go back to their usual activities and can
apply makeup immediately.
How many treatments are
needed?
A series of
4 to 5 treatments are recommended for best results. Treatments are
usually scheduled 3 to 4 weeks apart. By dividing the therapy into
several treatments, it preserves the wonderful no down time feature
that people appreciate so much.
What are the treatments
like?
A cold gel is
applied to the area to be treated. The hand piece is gently applied
to the skin. A slight stinging sensation is felt. Anesthetic cream
can be applied before the procedure, but it is seldom required.
At first, the skin may be flushed, but these effects fade within
24 hours.
Are Fotofacial treatments
safe?
Fotofacial treatments
are very safe. Rarely, temporary mild bruising may occur in the
treated areas, which will resolve completely in a few days.
